Wenn Castor mit seiner Gitarre auf der Bühne Songs von Johnny Cash  wie "Personal Jesus",  "Solitary Man” oder "Hurt" interpretiert, könnte man meinen, Meister Cash selbst gibt sich die Ehre.

Diese Songs sind ehrlich - eine Stimmung, die nur dort zu finden ist, wo eine große Stimme, begleitet von einer kräftigen Akustik-Gitarre, die Ohren und Herzen öffnet.

Seit über 20 Jahren steht Castor auf der Bühne, hat in verschiedenen Formationen als Sänger,Gitarrist und Bassist lernen können.

Sein breitgefächerter Musikgeschmack zeigt sich in den unterschiedlichen Projekten, die er begleitet hat: deutscher und amerikanischer Folk, Funk und Rock - ja sogar mal NDW.

Insgesamt 7 mal ist er durch die USA getourt, wurde zwei mal zum North West Folklife Festival nach Seattle mit seiner Band eingeladen und hat u. a. auch in Finnland, Österreich und Kanada musikalisch gastiert

...  so der Titel seines aktuellen Solo Programms.

Natürlich mit Songs in der Interpretation von Mr. Johnny Cash und - um Klischees vorzubeugen  – diesmal nicht nur Country-Songs. Mit dieser Offenbarung begeistert Castor nicht nur eingefleischte Cash-Fans, sondern gerade auch sein Publikum, das die Texte und deren absolut überzeugender Interpretation zu schätzen weiß.

Denn wie so oft sind es die leisen Töne, die die Kraft dieser Songs ausmachen.    So schlicht und ehrlich, wie Cash am Ende seiner grandiosen Karriere Songs von großen Künstlern und Bands, wie U2, Nick Cave, Tom Petty,  oder Depeche Mode, Neil Diamond und Nine Inch Nails interpretiert hat,  können wir auch Castor mit seiner Gitarre und seiner Gänsehaut machenden Stimme erleben.

Es ist sicherlich nicht leicht, in die Fußstapfen eines solch überragenden Künstlers zu treten! Doch gerade die Interpretation von neuen Songs machen Castors Repertoire so spannend.

When I play Johnny Cash’s songs like "Personal Jesus", "Solitary Man” or "Hurt"
with my guitar on stage, you could think that the master himself graces us with his presence.   

These songs are true – an atmosphere that you only can find
when there’s a great voice combined with a powerful acoustic guitar,
which opens ears and hearts.

Since more than 20 years I’m performing on stage now,
playing with different formations I’ve learned to be a singer, bass and guitar player.
My diversified taste in music is reflected in different projects, that I’ve been involved in:
German and American folk, funk and rock – and even Neue Deutsche Welle (German New Wave).

I’ve been touring through the USA seven times.
Together with my band. I’ve been invited twice to join the North West Folklife Festival in Seattle,
and I also played in Finland, Austria and Canada, and now: ...
 
Castor Sings Cash  -  songs and stories of Johnny Cash 

... this is the title of my actual solo program. Naturally with songs in the interpretation
of Mr. Johnny Cash, and – to prevent stereotypes – this time not only country songs.

With this revelation I’m not only delighting the convinced fans of Johnny Cash,
but also and especially my audience, who appreciates the lyrics
and their absolutely convincing interpretation.
Because – as is so often the case – the quiet tones create the power of these songs.

As sincere and honest as Cash had interpreted songs by great artists and bands
like U2, Nick Cave, Tom Petty, Depeche Mode, Neil Diamond
or Nine Inch Nails at the end of his magnificent career,
you will see me performing live with my guitar and my voice, which makes you goose bumps.

Of course it’s not easy to follow in the footsteps of such an outstanding artist!
The interpretations of the new songs, however, make my repertoire so exciting.
Dare to be curious...   

I’m not looking out for the ’big locations’ of the world –
these songs need the intimacy of the smaller stages with a typical club-like atmosphere!

Let yourself be carried away by Castor into a world of true feelings with all the bads and goods!
